Back on home soil!

Greetings from the depths of the Castle of Terror,

We’re finally back in the studio working on the follow up to Back To Zero after a very eventful 18 months of touring.

In that time we’ve played over 100 shows in Europe, jammed onstage with Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Bardo Pond and Marc Ribot at the Sydney Opera house, toured with Black Mountain, Melt-Banana, Serena-Maneesh and Nick Oliveri in Europe, played the Incubate, VIVID Live, Bracara Extreme Fest, Denovali Swingfest festivals, supported Hawkwind and Black Mountain around Australia, and most recently had to follow the almighty Goblin onstage at the Polyhymnia Festival in Berlin.

So we’re really excited to be back in the studio working on new music and we’ll have some new sound and vision up for you very soon.

It’s also wonderful to have this new site up to help us share these new sensations. Thankyou very much to Exotic Corpse the web magic.

Exciting things are afoot on the live front too, with a brand new lineup, special guests and some exciting events on the horizon.

After 10 years of faithful service, we bid a fond farewell to our long-suffering drummer Ianto Kelly, who’s off to concentrate on bigger and better things with his excellent new band The Spinning Rooms. Thankyou very much to Ianto for so many years at the coal-face. Ianto’s trademark drumming has been a huge part of The Night Terrors sound from day one (and even before with his amazing previous band The Stickmen). We wish you a future of fun times, grammatical correctness and Alliance Francais!

We’re stoked to announce that Damian Coward from our longtime touring partners HEIRS has joined the Terrors fold on drums/electronics. Anyone who has seen Heirs live will know how scary Damian is behind a drumkit. If that’s not exciting enough, we’re also welcoming HEIRS’ incredible Laura Bradfield on synth. For those who missed the Hawkwind shows, we can’t wait to show you this wicked new lineup. It’s BLAZING.

Add to that a string of new releases, remixes (Night Terrors remix of Antoni Maiovvi‘s track Murderfunk out soon on Seed Records) and collaborations, and it’s safe to say the next few months are going to be similarly epic.

Stay tuned for some big announcements soon.

love and synthesisers,

Miles & The Night Terrors
